Evan McDowell Lemaster, 84, of Staffordsville, died Saturday, Feb. 13, at
St. Mary's Medical Center, Huntington, W.Va.

Born Nov. 29, 1925, at Paintsville, he was the son of the late Luther and
Lura Alice Collins Lemaster. He was a World War II Navy veteran and a
carpenter.

He was also preceded in death by his wife, Neva Blanton Lemaster, in 2003.

Survivors include three sons, John Lemaster of Hager Hill, Lee Lemaster of
Pickerington, Ohio, and Ronald Lemaster of Prestonsburg; two daughters,
Beverly Clark of Russell Springs and Rita Kimbler of Staffordsville; a
brother, Robert C. Lemaster of Urbana, Ohio; five sisters, Nadine Blanton
and Nora Ann McClure, both of Paintsville, Ruth Blanton and Etta Evelyn
Webb, both of Oil Springs; and Jo Holbrook of Van Lear; seven grandchildren;
and six great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were Tuesday, Feb. 16, at Paintsville Funeral Home Chapel,
with J.R. Connelley officiating.

Burial was in Johnson County Memorial, Staffordsville, under direction of
Paintsville Funeral Home, Paintsville.
