ARNOLD LEE MAY
1924-1993
Arnold Lee May, 68, died March 22 in Cabell-Huntington Hospital, Huntington,
WV.
Mr. May was born May 8, 1924 in Johnson County, the son of the late Ballard
and Minnie Spradlin May. He was a retired miner and member of the United
Baptist Church.
Surviving are his wife, Fannie Blair May; two sons, Keith May of Lexington
and Gary May of Cleveland, OH; two daughters, Wanda Younce of Offutt and
Wilma Crase of Salyersville; three brothers, Hammie and German May, both of
Leander, and Hargus May of Jackson, MI; four sisters, Dora Blair of
Michigan, Alka Nickle of Marion, OH, Omega Hood of Charlotte, NC, and Ruby
O’Keefe of Indianapolis, IN and seven grandchildren and one great
granddaughter.
Funeral services were held March 23 in Fishtrap United Baptist Church at
Staffordsville with Elders Sammy Reed, Frankie Williams, Lonza Reed,
Rutherford Blair and Gene May officiating.
Burial was in Johnson County Memorial Cemetery at Staffordsville.
