CHARLEY DENVER O'BRYAN
1917-1981
Charley "Jimmy" Denver O'Bryan, 63, died Wednesday, September 23, in
St. Joseph Mercy Hospital in Michigan after an extended illness.
Mr. O'Bryan was born September 29, 1917 in Lawrence County, the son
of James Valentine and Sarah Pennington O'Bryan.
He was a resident of Milan, MI, a retired employee of Chrysler
Corporation and a member of the Baptist Church.
Surviving are his wife, Ella Mae Lobdell O'Bryan, who he married
November 2, 1970 in Ypsilanti; four sons, Donald Bolz O'Bryan of
Mineola, TX, John Charles O'Bryan of Ypsilanti, MI, Donald Ray
O'Bryan of Maybee, MI, and John William O'Bryan of Milan, MI; a
daughter, Helen Byrd, Ypsilanti, 17 grandchildren and five great
grandchildren. Also, three brothers, John O'Bryan of Hager Hill,
Alonzo O'Bryan of Van Lear, and Clarence O'Bryan of Thealka; five
sisters, Ruth Paige of Hobart, IN, Bertha Daniels, Lake Station, IN,
Lora A. Lemaster and Faye Holbrook of Hager Hill, and Roberta
Preston, of Van Lear.
Funeral services were held Sunday, September 27 in Preston Funeral
Home Chapel with John Frank Ratliff and Bobby Lyons officiating.
Burial was in Johnson County Memorial cemetery, Staffordsville.
