FORMER RESIDENT DIES SATURDAY

RITES HELD TODAY FOR AMANDA OLIVER

Mrs. Amanda Jenkins Oliver, 32, died in a Ypsilanti, Mich.Hospitall
Saturday following a brief illness. Her death was attributed to
pneumonia.

Born in Johnson County, she was the daughter of Mrs. Rosa Jenkins of
Oil Springs and the late Ira Jenkins.

An employee of Ford Motor Company, she had been a resident of
Ypsilanti for twelve years.

Surviving are her husband, Wymer Oliver, two sons, Michael and
Gregory, both at home, and one daughter, Sandra, at home.

Other survivors are five sisters: Della Sturgill of Deane, Ky.; Effie
Sturgill of Baltimore, Md.; Mollie Gamer of Baltimore, Md.; Esta
Mahan of Barnetts Creek; and Hester Davis of Oil Springs; and two
brothers, Dale Lard Jenkins of Mechanicsburg, Ohio and Thursman
Jenkins of ? Kingston, Ohio.

Funeral services were conducted today at 11:00 a.m. at the Barnetts
Creek United Baptist Church with Lonzo Reed, Pastor ?Elam and Foster
R. Riggsby as officiating ministers.

Burial was made in the family cemetery under the direction of the
Paintsville Funeral Home.
