ELBERT OSBORN
1902-1967
Elbert (Bert) Osborne, age 64, died Wednesday, January 4, 1967, at
10:20 a.m. in the Paintsville Clinic following an extended illness.
Born December 28, 1902 at Sitka, he was the son of Mack and Lou
VanHoose Osborne.
Retired from employment, he had lived at Sitka and was a member of
the Enterprise Baptist Church.
His wife the former Georgia Stambaugh survives. They were married
in Paintsville on July 11, 1922(?). Also surviving are three sons,
?, William and Bert Allen, all at home, two step-sons, Clarence and
Ernest Pennington, also at home, three daughters, Lowvrn, Connie
Sue and Lou Ann, at home, a brother, Harold Osborne of Sitka, and
six sisters, Mrs. Edgar Witten and Mrs. Jerry Womack, both of
Springfield, Ohio, Mrs. Virgil Salyers of Piketon, Ohio, Mrs
Challie Sayers of Ironton, Ohio, Mrs Virgil McCarty of Aide, Ohio,
Mrs. Roy Wiley of Dayton, Ohio.
Funeral services were held Saturday, January 7, 1967, at 10:30 a.m.
in the Sitka Free Will Baptist Church.
