MARIE PACK
Funeral services were held Monday, August 18,1997 for Marie
Rice Pack, 82, who died Friday, August 15, at, Highlands
Regional Medical Center, Prestonsburg, Floyd Co Ky.
Mrs. Pack was born August 18,1914, in Johnson County, to the
late Lonzo and Lura Blair Rice. She was also preceded in death
by her husband, Rev. Walter Jay.Pack, on May 29, 1981; five
brothers; three sisters; and three grandchildren.
Surviving are three sons, Wallie Pack of East Point and Vernon
E. and Walter C. Pack, both of Hager Hill; five daughters,
JoAnn Trimble of Paintsville, Renna Faye Quillen and Sue
Abeny, both of Hager Hill, Myrtle Marlene VanHoose of Tutor
Key and Billie Carol Hyden of Wabash, Indiana; one brother,
Gene Rice of Worthington, Ohio; one sister, Anna Jane Blair;
and 16 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren
and three great-greatgrandchildren.
Officiating at services at Jones-Preston Funeral Home Chapel were
James Kelly Caudill and Ronnie Spriggs.
Burial was in Cumbo Family Cemetery at West Van Lear,
Johnson Co Ky.
