Imogene Pennington, 72, of Oil Springs, died Wednesday, Jan. 9, at
Kings Daughters’ Medical Center, Ashland.

Born July 13, 1929, she was a daughter of the late K.L. Howard and
Myrtle Collinsworth Howard. She was a homemaker.

Survivors include her husband, Jack Pennington of Oil Springs; a son,
Phillip Pennington of Ashland; a daughter, Teresa Cantrell of Oil
Springs; eight brothers, Alva Howard of Oil Springs, Thomas Howard,
Von Dell Howard and Wilmer Howard, all of Dayton, Ohio, Clyde Howard
and Eddie Howard, both of Navar, Fla., Stephen Howard of Vidor, Tex.
and Darrell Howard of Enon, Ohio; three sisters, Roxie Alice
Pennington of Oil Springs, Chorena Long of Enon, Ohio, and Gloria
Trustee of Sitka; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were Saturday, Jan. 12, at Paintsville Funeral
Chapel with Elders J.D. Rice, John Blanton and Buster Blanton
officiating.

Burial was in Johnson County Memorial Cemetery, Staffordsville, under
direction of Paintsville Funeral Home.
