Roosevelt Pennington, 74, of Flat Gap, died Monday, Jan. 25, at his
residence.
  
Born June 10, 1935, at Ophir, he was the son of the late Walker Levi and
Marvie Young Pennington. He was a crop farmer.
  
Survivors include a son, Johnny Pennington of Texas; two daughters, Judy
VanHoose of Nippa and Crotene Ranee Parker of Paintsville; a brother, Ren
Pennington of Red Bush; a sister, Susie Fyffe of Baltimore, Md.; and a
grandchild.
  
Funeral services were Wednesday, Jan. 27, at Paintsville Funeral Home
Chapel, with Ray Pennington officiating.
  
Burial was in Johnson County Memorial Cemetery, Staffordsville, under
direction of Paintsville Funeral Home, Paintsville.
