MARY ELLEN PHELPS

Funeral services will be held Friday, June 3, 11 a.m. at the Paintsville
Funeral Home Chapel for Mary Ellen Hill Skaggs Phelps, 85, who passed away
Tuesday, May 31 at Paul B. Hall Regional Medical Center in Paintsville, Ky.
Mrs. Phelps was born March 29, 1920 in Morgan County, Ky., daughter of the
late Forest and Laura Bell Williams Hill. She was a homemaker. She was also
preceded in death by her first husband, Hilman Skaggs; her second husband,
John Phelps; and a daughter, Bonita Mertins.
Surviving are several nieces and nephews. The service will be officiated by
Elders Ellis Hamilton and Paul E. Keaton, with burial following in the
Skaggs Cemetery at Red Bush, Ky.
