DAISY PRESTON
1918-1994
Retried postmaster, Daisy (Daniel) Preston, 75, died Tuesday,
January 11 at her Thelma residence.
Mrs. Preston was born April 28, 1918, in Johnson County, the
daughter of the late Elmer and Nancy Cassidy Daniel.
She was retired from the United States Government and was a member
of the Concord United Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Donis Preston.
Surviving are one son, Terry Preston of Thelma, one daughter Brenda
Clifton of Thelma; two brothers, Hubert and Harold Daniel, both of
Van Lear; two sisters, Norma Meade of Tutor Key and Frankie Ratliff
of Van Lear; and five grandchildren and one great grandchild.
Funeral services were held Friday, January 14 at Concord United
Baptist Church, with Bruce Howard, Charles Price and John Sparks
officiating.
Burial was in Johnson County Memorial Park at Staffordsville, with
Preston Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
