Ray T. "Cotton" Preston, 80, of West Van Lear, died Monday, April 14,
at Mt. Manor Nursing Facility, Paintsville.
  
Born Dec. 12, 1924, in Johnson County, he was a son of the late L. T.
and Nola Jane Lemaster Preston. He was a sales manager with Meadow
Gold Milk Company, a U.S. Navy veteran, and member of First Freewill
Baptist Church.
  
Survivors incluce his wife, Roberta O'Bryan Preston of West Van Lear;
two sons, Allan Preston of Altivista, Va. and David Preston of
Nicholasville; a daughter, Sandy Oney of West Van Lear; three
sisters, Callie Price of Akron, Ohio, Helen McDowell of Kettering,
Ohio, and Floretta McKenzie of West Van Lear; six grandchildren; and
four great-grandchildren.
  
Funeral services were Thursday, April 17, at First Freewill Baptist
Church with Larry Blair officiating.
  
Burial was in Johnson County Memorial Cemetery, Staffordsville, under
direction of Preston Funeral Home, Paintsville.
