VIRGIL RATLIFF
1915-1987
Hager Hill resident, Virgil Ratliff, 72, died Sunday, October 18 in Paul B.
Hall Regional Medical Center.
Mr. Ratliff was born June 10, 1915 in Portsmouth, OH, the son of Warren and
Fronia Spencer Ratliff. He was a retired miner and a member of Upper Room
Church.
Surviving are his wife, Faye Arms Ratliff; three daughters, Judy Pruit, Lee
Smith, and Betty Blessing, all of Dayton, OH; two step daughters, Joyce
Burns of Dayton, and Betty Hill of Leander; three brothers, Andy Ratliff,
Leo Ratliff and Gilbert Ratliff, all of Dayton; three sisters, Zora Meade of
Xenia, OH, Anna Ruth Robinson and Violet Ratliff, both of Dayton; and three
grandchildren, two great grandchildren and three step grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, October 21 in the Upper Room Church
with Rev. Jerry Castle officiating.
Burial was in Johnson County Cemetery at Staffordsville, with Preston
Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
