Funeral services were held Monday, June 27, 3 p.m. at the Paintsville
Funeral Home Chapel for Hargis Rowe Jr., 78, of Hager Hill, Ky., who passed
away Friday, June 24 at Paul B. Hall Regional Medical Center in Paintsville,
Ky.
   
Mr. Rowe was born May 22, 1927 in Magoffin County, Ky., son of the late
Hargis and Laura Watkins Rowe. He was a heavy equipment operator.
  
He was also preceded in death by his wife, Violet Rowe.
  
Surviving are one daughter, Rhonda Dysert of Hager Hill, Ky.; three sisters,
Betty Mann and Dorothy Huff, both of Alger, Ohio, and Marge Gartside of
Lima, Ohio; one brother, Stratton Minix of Alger, Ohio; and two
grandchildren, Kerri Salyer of Louisville, Ky., and Landon Rowe of Inez, Ky.
   
The service was officiated by John M. Wheeler, with burial in the Johnson
County Memorial Cemetery at Staffordsville, Ky.
  
Arrangements under the direction of the Paintsville Funeral Home of
Paintsville, Ky.
