William Richard Rowland, 69, of Paintsville, died Monday, May 17, at his
residence.
  
Born April 12, 1941, in Johnson County, he was the son of the late Henry
Armstrong and Lula Curtis Rowland. He was a truck driver.
  
Survivors include a son, Todd Rowland of Cleveland, Ohio; two daughters,
Sarah and Wendy; three step-sons, David Wayne Moore of Paintsville, James
Ray Moore of Wyandotte, Mich., and Brian Rowland; two sisters, Billie Jean
Azeleton of Clio, Mich., and Bertie Jane Melvin of Walbash, Ind.; and
several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, step-grandchildren, and step-
great- grandchildren.
  
Funeral services were Thursday, May 20, at Paintsville Funeral Home Chapel,
with Gary Blair officiating.
  
Burial was in Johnson County Memorial, Staffordsville, under direction of
Paintsville Funeral Home, Paintsville.
