WEST VAN LEAR MAN DIES SUDDENLY IN MAGOFFIN COUNTY

Clarence Salyer, 35, of West Van Lear, died suddenly Friday
afternoon, December 13, 1940 on Johnson Fork in Magoffin County.

Funeral services were held Monday afternoon December 16, 1940 at
the Missonary Baptist Church at West Van Lear, Rev. Lewis of
Wheelwright, Ky., and Rev. Anderson of Van Lear conducting the
funeral services.

Burial in the family cemetery at West Van Lear.

He is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Salyer, one
brother , Chester Salyer, Wheelright, two sisters, Mrs. W.H. Dixon
Van Lear, and Mrs. W.H. Smith, West Van Lear.

The undertaking department of the Paintsville Furniture Co., had
charge of arrangements.
