GLEN SALYERS
1911-1969
 
Glen Salyers, 57, died at his home on Barnetts Creek Monday, April 21
after an illness of three months.
 
The son of Lula Blair Salyers and the late Fonzo Salyers, he was born
in Johnson County on July 21, 1911.
 
He was an auto mechanic by occupation and had lived at Barnetts Creek
for his entire life.
 
Additional survivors include his wife, the former Ernestine McCloud;
a son, Wade Salyers of Barnetts Creek; a brother, Asbury Salyers of
Barnetts Creek; and two sisters, Mrs. Dorothy Bellar of Barnetts
Creek and Mrs. Madge McAndrews of Frankfort.
  
Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, April 24 in the Third
Street Freewill Baptist Church in Paintsville of which he was a
member. Claude Preston, Scott Castle and Charlie Lemaster will
officiate at the services at 1:30 p.m.
 
Special music will be provided by the Paintsville Quartet.
 
Interment will follow in the Salyers Cemetery at Barnetts Creek. The
Paintsville Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
