JIMMY DEAN SALYERS

Jimmy Dean Salyers, 52, of Staffordsville, died Monday, Oct. 19, at
Jewish Hospital, Louisville.

Born Jan. 5, 1957, in Johnson County, he was the son of Hermalee Webb
Salyers and the late Berlin Salyers. He was a member and minister at
Little Paint United Baptist Church and a lifelong member and former
assistant fire chief of Oil Springs Volunteer Fire Department.

Additional survivors include two sons, Adam Salyers and Jimmy Salyers
Jr., both of Staffordsville; two daughters, Barbara Conley of
Staffordsville and Rebkah Salyers of Boons Camp; two brothers, Freddy
Salyers and Benny Salyers, both of Staffordsville; and two grandsons.

Funeral services were Thursday, Oct. 22, at Jones-Preston Funeral
Home Chapel, with Phillip Caudill, J.D. Rice, James Sparks, and Eulas
Adams officiating.

Burial was in Johnson County Memorial Cemetery, Staffordsville, under
direction of Jones-Preston Funeral Home, Paintsville.
