MARY JANE SPEARS
1930-1985
Mary Jane Spears, 55, of Paintsville, died May 22 after an extended illness.
Born March 11, 1930, the daughter of the late William and Mary Carol Everly
Crawford, in Logan County, she was a school teacher employed by the
Paintsville Independent School System.
Survivors include a husband, Dr. Joe Spears, of Paintsville, a son, John
Speras of Stroudsburg, PA, and a daughter, Carol Spears, of Paintsville.
Also surviving are three brothers, Pete Everly of Orlando, FL, John Everly
of Prestonsburg, Jack Crawford of Abingdon, VA; and one sister Ann Shoffer,
of Middlesboro.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Friday, May 24 in the chapel of the
Jones-Preston Funeral Home with Rev. Graham Abbott officiating.
Burial was in the family cemetery at West Van Lear.
