Johnny Carson Stapleton, 80, of Flat Gap, died Thursday, Dec. 13,
2007 at Paul B. Hall Regional Medical Center, Paintsville.
  
Born July 8, 1927, he was a son of the late Dow and Alka Auxier
Stapleton. He was a retired mechanic with Johnson County School
System.
  
He was also preceded in death by his wife, Willidene "Billie"
Stapleton.
  
Survivors include three sons, Paul Anthony and Terry Stapleton,
both of Flat Gap, and Randy Stapleton of Nippa; two daughters,
Helen Blanton of Flat Gap, and Kathy Murray of Paintsville; a
sister, Gaye Bailey Goble of Flat Gap; 11 grandchildren; and 11
great-grandchildren.
  
Funeral services were Sunday, Dec. 16, with Rev. Jeff Blanton
officiating.
  
Burial was in Johnson County Memorial Cemetery, Staffordsville,
under direction of Paintsville Funeral Home, Paintsville.
