DONNA P. TACKETT
1900-1985
  
Mrs. Donna P. Tackett, 84, died March 1 in Paul B. Hall Regional Medical
Center following an extended illness.
  
Mrs. Tackett was born September 17, 1900 at Staffordsville, the daughter of
Amos and Laura Sturgill Pelphrey.
  
She was a life-long resident of Staffordsville and a member of the Old Union
United Baptist Church since 1927.
  
Surviving are her husband, Wayne Tackett, who she married May 20, 1920; two
sons, Roger Tackett of Paintsville and Ben Tackett of Staffordsville; two
brothers, Brooks Pelphrey of Manila and Bert Pelphrey of Ypsilanti, MI; a
sister, Mrs. Grace Hitchcock of Oil Springs; four grandchildren and one
great grandchild.
  
Funeral services held March 4 in Old Union United Baptist Church with Elder
J.T. Bailey and Rev. James K. Caudill officiating.
  
Burial was in Tackett Cemetery at Staffordsville with Paintsville Funeral
Home handling arrangements.
