Jacob Titlow Passes Jan. 18
Funeral rites AT W. Van Lear
Jacob Titlow, 73, West Van Lear, retired miner, passed away
January 18 in a local hospital after a short illness. Death was
said to be the result of a stroke suffered earlier.
He was born November 3, 1877, in Boone county, V. Va., and was the
son of Frederick and Lucinda Snodgrass Titlow.
He had been a resident of West Van Lear for 17 years, and was a
member of the Church of Christ.
His wife preceded him in death October 16, 1944.
Surviving are the following sons and daughters: William, Dayton,
John, West Van Lear; Charles, U. S. Navy, Harry, Dayton, Mrs. Joel
Martin, Estill, Ky.; Mrs. Phillip Keeny, Dayton; Mrs. David Adams,
Elwood, Ind.; Mrs. Leroy Tracy, Dayton; Mrs. Richard Knopp,
Dayton.
Also surviving are one brother and two sisters; Mr. Fred Titlow,
Clay, W. Va.; Mrs. Mary Rich, Charleston W. Va.; Mrs. Eliza
Bosher, Cheylan, W. Va.
Funeral rites were conducted at 10:00 a. m.; Saturday, January 20,
by the Rev. S. C. Honeycutt at the West Van Lear Church of Christ.
Burial followed in the Cumbo Cemetery, W. Van Lear, under the
direction of the Jones Funeral Home.
