WILLIS VANCE

Coal miner, Willis Vance, 60, died Tuesday, September 20, at Highlands
Regional Medical Center.
  
Mr. Vance was born March 29, 1928, in Logan County, WV, the son of Dewey and
Minnie Blankenship Vance. He was a member of Old Log Church, Van Lear.
  
Surviving are his wife, Gloria Jean Holstein Vance; one son, Willis Vance,
Jr., of Van Lear; one daughter, Cheryl Kay Browning of Paintsville; one
brother, Tennis Vance of Logan; two sisters, Jimolee Workman of Logan and
Barbara of North Carolina; and seven grandchildren.
  
Funeral services were held Thursday, September 22 in Preston Funeral Home
Chapel with Benny Taylor, John T. Vance and J. K. Caudill officiating.
  
Burial was in Johnson County Cemetery at Staffordsville.
