MARY VANHOOSE
1901-1988
  
Mary VanHoose, 86, died Saturday, January 2, in Paul B. Hall Regional
Medical Center.
  
Mrs. VanHoose was born July 19, 1901 in Johnson County, the daughter of
Willie and Martilia Meadows Castle. She was a school teacher and a member of
the United Baptist Church.
  
Her husband, Dewey VanHoose, preceded her in death in 1976. Surviving are
two sons, Gordon VanHoose of Staffordsville, and William VanHoose of
Vandalia, OH; three daughters, Georgetta Mae Price of Placentia, CA, Viola
Virginia Phillips of Fort Meyers, FL, and Lenore Diffee of Volga; and 19
grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren.
  
Funeral services were held Tuesday, January 5 in Paintsville Funeral Home
Chapel with Rev. Tobe Wheeler, Jr. officiating.
  
Burial was in Johnson County Memorial at Staffordsville.
