DUANE R. WARD
1956-2007
Funeral services were held Monday, Aug. 13, 1 p.m. at the
Jones-Preston Funeral Home Chapel for Duane R. Ward, 50, of
Meally, Ky., who passed away Thursday, Aug. 9 at King’s
Daughters Medical Center in Ashland, Ky.
Mr. Ward was born Nov. 24, 1956 in Johnson County, Ky., son
of Wauleta Williams Ward of Oil Springs, Ky., and the late
Chester Ward.
He was an assembly line worker at American Standard.
Surviving are two daughters, Hollie Beth (Don) Montgomery and
Martina Lee Conley, both of Paintsville, Ky.; two brothers,
Jack (Julie) Ward of Meally and Bobby (Janie) Ward of Denver,
Ky.; three sisters, Sandie (Mike) Blanton of Oil Springs,
Brenda (Gary) Powers of Edison, Ohio, and Suzie (Raymond
Earl) Ratliff of Paintsville; four grandchildren; and his
companion, Lucy M. Gillispie.
The service was officiated by Joe Scott, Jimmy Price, and
Terry Conley, with burial in the Johnson County Memorial
Cemetery at Staffordsville, Ky.
Arrangements under the direction of the Jones-Preston Funeral
Home of Paintsville.
