EUGENE WARD
1912-1992
Retired road foreman, Eugene Ward, 80, died Saturday, March 25 in Paul B.
Hall Regional Medical Center.
Mr. Ward was born December 27, 1912 in Johnson County, the son of John
Morgan and Mary Sammons Ward. He was retired from the Kentucky State
Department of Highways and was a veteran of World War II and a member of the
VFW and the Freewill Baptist Church.
Surviving are his wife, Garnet Necessary Ward; two sons, John and Tony Ward,
both of Boons Camp; four daughters, Deborah Pelphrey of Tutor Key, Joan
Daniels of Boons Camp. Patricia Gallione of Boco Raton, FL, Linda Ward of
Downey, CA and Phoeba Delbeccio of Northbergen, NY and one sister, Ruth Ward
of Hager Hill.
Funeral services will be held today, Wednesday, April 29, at 11 a.m. in
Paintsville Funeral Home Chapel with Revs. Jack Brown and Jerry Castle
officiating.
Burial will be in Johnson County Memorial Cemetery at Staffordsville.
