Mary Katherine Ward, 77, of Van Lear, died Sunday, March 1, at King's
Daughters Medical Center, Ashland.
  
Born Oct. 24, 1931, at Johnson County, she was the daughter of the
late Johnny and Ella Dale Adams.
  
Survivors include a daughter, Geneva Pennington of Van Lear; two
sisters, Delphia Page of Paintsville, and Mary Short of Emily City,
Mich.; four grandchildren; and five great- grandchildren.
  
Funeral services will be 1 p.m., Thursday, March 5, at Paintsville
Funeral Home Chapel, with Roger Hill and James Matthew Adams
officiating.
  
Burial will be in Johnson County Memorial Cemetery, Staffordsville,
under direction of Paintsville Funeral Home, Paintsville.
