Leander resident, Ethel Weddington, 84, died Tuesday, June 7, at Paul B.
Hall Regional Medical Center.

Mrs. Weddington was born November 1, 1909, in Johnson County, the daughter
of the late Alfred Harland and Rosa Lee Caudill Blair. She was a member of
the United Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Hershel Weddington, on March 3,
1993.

Surviving are one son, Kenneth Elwood Weddington of Saline, MI; two
daughters, Loretta Weddington of New Carlisle, OH and Opal Bundren of
Knoxville, TN; one brother, Uel Blair of Hager Hill; two sisters, Josephine
Hitchcock and Meriam Hammond, both of Hager Hill; and five grandchildren and
four great grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Friday, June 10 at Beechwall United Baptist
Church, with Elders Rutherford Blair, Douglas Ward and Jerry Colvin
officiating.

Burial was in Johnson County Memorial Cemetery at Staffordsville with
Paintsville Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Active pallbearers were Harlan Hammond, Ott Blair, Gregory Blair, Larry Joe
Blanton, Dean Conley, Harold Hammond, Charles Leo Blair and Joe Earl Blair.
Honorary pallbearers were James Wallace Blair, Billy Jay Blair, Jackie
Blair, Timothy Blair, Jimmie Blair, Dean Blair, Jerry Dean Blair, Donald
Conley, Phillip Conley, Gary Blair, Jerry Blair, Jeffrey Blair and Willie
Hitchcock.
