CHARLES ARTHUR WELLS

Charlie Arthur Wells, 67, of Van Lear died Thursday, August 24 in the
Paintsville Hospital following an extended illness. He was affiliated
with the Church of Christ.
He was the son of Cora Honeycutt and the late George Moses Wells.
Immediate survivors include his wife, Jennie Ward Wells, three sons,
Charles Wells of Van Lear, Jerry Wells of Thornville, OH, and Paul
Henry Wells of Paintsville, four daughters, Mrs. Francis Honaker of
Virginia Beach, Miss Lois Wells of Van Lear, Mrs. Janet Vance of
Severn, MD and Mrs. Carol Davis of Van Lear, five brothers, George
Wells of West Van Lear, John Wells, of Van Lear, Willie Wells of Van
Lear, Woodrow Wells of West Van Lear, and Henry Wells of South Point,
OH and three sisters, Mrs. Mag Collins of Van Lear, and Mrs. Eula
Williams of Van Lear and Mrs. Mable Adams of Henryville, OH.
Funeral services were conducted by Cecil Sherman Saturday, August 26
at 2 p.m. in the West Van Lear Church of Christ.
Burial followed in the family cemetery at Van Lear under direction of
the Jones-Preston Funeral Home.
