HIRAM BROWNLOW WELLS 1866-1950 84- Year - Old Man Ill Short Time Hiram Brownlow Wells, 84, widely known Johnson County man, died February 7 at 3:40 a.m. at his home at Odds after and illness of a few days. Mr. Wells was born Sept. 12, 1866 the son of James and Aretta Collins Wells. He was a member of one of the county's oldest families and has many relatives and friends who will be sorry to learn of his passing. He was a retired farmer and was a member of the Christian Church. Surviving are three sons and two daughters, Joe Wells, Odds, C. P. Wells, Auxier, Ky., Ashley Wells, Odds, Mrs. Maxie Ramey, Odds, and Mrs. Alka Adkins, City. He also leaves two brothers and one sister, Alex Wells and Walker Wells, both of Van Lear and Agnes Wells of Martin, Ky. Funeral services were held Wednesday, February 8, 1950 at 2:00 p.m., at the Christian Church at Odds by Leonard Webb of this city.
