Charles Blanton, 42, of Hager Hill, died Tuesday, Jan. 21, at his
residence.
  
Born Sept. 22, 1971, in Columbia City, Ind., he was the son of Joyce
Shepherd Blanton of Hager Hill and the late Billy Ray Blanton. He was a
coal miner and member of the Highland Church of Christ, Paintsville.
  
Survivors include step-father, Larry Joe Blanton of Hager Hill; two step-
sisters, Carisa Blanton and Lisa Sodervick, both of Wabash, Ind.; a sister,
Billie Kay Webb of Blue River; and a step-brother, Shane Blanton of Wabash.
  
Funeral services were Saturday, Jan. 25, at Paintsville Funeral Home
Chapel, with Jerry Scott and Joe Scott officiating.
  
Burial was in Johnson County Memorial Cemetery, Staffordsville, under
direction of Paintsville Funeral Home, Paintsville.
