Fred Crislip Dies Sunday Rites Thursday For Kerz Man Rev. Fred
Crislip, 52, prominnent resident of Kerz, died suddenly near Sitka
Tuesday morning, December 28, enroute to Paintsvile.

Mr. Crislip had been in ill health for some time and had been under
the care of a physician for the past several months.

He was born in this county, the son of the late Edward and Alice
Murray Crislip.

A recognized leader in his community and one of the most active
businessmen of the county he was engaged in the mercantile and coal
business.

He is survived by his wife, the former Samantha Lemaster and six
children: Roy, Archie, William H., Edna Faye, all of Kerz, Olive May
and Malta Ross of Sunbury, Ohio. Surviving also are one brother,
Johnnie, and one sister, Mrs. Dorothy King of Staffordsville, and
one-half sister, Mrs. Josoie King of Staffordsville, and two-half
brothers Everett of this city and Arthur of Georgia.

Funeral Services were held Thursday at 1:00 P.M. at the Little Gap
Union Church of which he was superintendent of the Sunday School.

Burial was in the family cemetery near his home under the direction
of the Jones Funeral Home.
