NORMAN DANIEL

Boons Camp resident Norman Daniel, 86, died Sunday, May 4, at his home.
  
Mr. Daniel was born October 15, 1900 in Johnson County, the son of Joshua
and Matilda Preston Daniel. He was a retired miner and a member of the Old
Friendship United Baptist Church.
  
Surviving are his wife, Elva Perry Daniel, who he married Nov. 22, 1922 in
Johnson County; 2 sons, Randall Daniel of Washington and Evert Daniel of
Arkansas; 2 daughters, Eula Ward of West Virginia and Samantha Ratliff of
Boons Camp; 2 brothers, Shilo Daniel of Chapmansville, WV and Arville
Daniel of West Van Lear; 2 sisters, Stella Mae Lackey of Boons Camp and
Callie Collins of Van Lear; 20 grandchildren and 35 great grandchildren.
  
Funeral services were held Thursday, May 8 in Old Friendship United Baptist
Church with Glenn Arrowood, Flem Arrowood, and Earl Muncy officiating.
  
Burial was in Daniel Family Cemetery at Boons Camp with Preston Funeral
Home in charge of arrangements.
