HATTIE DOVE
1903-1988
  
Former Johnson County resident, Hattie Dove, 85, died Friday, July 8,
in Our Lady of Bellefonte Hospital, Ashland.
  
Mrs. Dove was born June 30, 1903 in Johnson County, the daughter of Sam
Castle and Laura Lyons. She was a member of the Thealka Freewill
Baptist Church.
   
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Dove, in 1962, and one
son, Ray Dove.
  
Surviving are one son, Roy Dove, of Ypsilanti, MI; two daughters, Helen
Lyons, of Marion, OH, and Ruth Preston, of Flatwoods, and 10
grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, and four great-great
grandchildren.
  
Funeral services were held Monday, July 11, in Thealka Freewill Baptist
Church, with Redford Meadows, Powell Collins, and Don Fraley
officiating.
  
Burial was in the family cemetery at Thealka, with Jones-Preston
Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
