NEWTON CLARK FAIRCHILD

Ninety-year-old Newton Clark Fairchild died in the Oil Springs home of his
daughgter, Edith Fairchild on June 12, 1970.

Funeral services were held by Elders Hammie May, Lonza Reed and Arnold Reed
in the Beechwall United Baptist Chyurch, at Leander, on June 14, 1970.

Burial took place in the Leander family cemetery, with the Paintsville
Funeral Home in charge.

The retired farmer and United Baptist was born to David M. and Alice
Pelphrey Fairchild in Johnson County. He was preceded in death by his wife
of over 70 years, Luna Williams Fairchild, on February 6, 1970.

Three sons survive: Thurman and Dorman Fairchild of Paintsville, and Harmon
Fairchild from Columbus, Ohio. Also surviving are four daughters, Alice
Davis of Nippa, Edith Fairchild from Oil Ssprings, Dora Caudill of Derby,
Ohio, and Dorothy Colvin from Delaware, Ohio; a brother who lives in Van
Lue, Ohio, Johnnie Fairchild; 19 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren.
