Fred Mollett, 69, of Davis Branch died Tuesday, December 12 in the
Paintsville Hospital following an illness of three weeks. He was a
retired miner and was affiliated with the United Baptist church.

He was the son of the late Eligah and Emma Clines Mollett.

Immediate survivors include his wife, Laura Davis Mollett, three sons,
David Mollett of David, Donald Mollett of Lexington, and Bobbie Mollett
of Paintsville, one daughter, Barbara Mollett of California, two
brothers, John B. Mollett of Paintsville and Burns Offutt Mollett of
Paintsville, and four sisters, Mrs. Lizzie Colvin of Thealka, Mrs.
Stella Fletcher of Inez, Mrs. Amonda Holbrook of Bradenton, FL, and
Mrs. Grace Preston of Paintsville.

Funeral services were conducted by Tom Sammons, Elzie Banks, and
Charles Price on Friday, December 15 at 11 a.m. at the Buffalo United
Baptist Church at Meally.

Burial followed in the Colvin Cemetery at Thealka under direction of
the Preston Funeral Home.
