JOHN E. O'BRYAN
1905-1984
   
John E. O'Bryan, 79, died March 25 at Riverview Manor Nursing Home, Prestonsburg,
after an extended illness.
   
Born February 11, 1905, in Elliott County, he was the son of James and Sara Belle
Pennington O'Bryan. He was a resident of Hager Hill, a retired coal miner, a
member of the Methodist Church and Van Lear Lodge 885.
   
Surviving are two brothers, Clarence O'Bryan of Paintsville, and Lonzo O'Bryan of
West Van Lear; five sisters, Ruth Page, Hobart, IN, Bertha Daniels, IN, Faye
Holbrook and Lora Lemaster, Hager Hill, and Roberta Preston of West Van Lear.
   
Funeral services were held March 28 in Jones-Preston Funeral Home Chapel with
Harold Conley officiating.
  
Burial was in Johnson County Memorial Garden.
