RITES AT LOWMANSVILLE
FOR JOHNSON RESIDENT

The Rev. Fred Stambaugh, 75, died at the home of his
daughter, Mrs. Gracie Hayes, Charley, Ky., at 10:15 p.m.,
Wednesday, Aug. 2.

The Rev.Stambaugh was born in Johnson County, Kentucky, Sept.
20, 1875, and was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Jeff Stambaugh. He
was a member of the United Baptist Church.

His wife preceded him in death on July 23, 1948. They were
married at Paintsville in 1920.

Mr. Stambaugh is survived by three sons and two daughters:
Sam Stambaugh, Salina, Calif.; Luther Stmbaugh, Ashland, Ky.;
Earl Stambaugh, Staffordsville, Ky.; Mrs. Gracie Hayes,
Charley, Ky.; Mrs. Nova Hayes, also of Charley. Also
surviving is one sister, Mrs. Lottie Daniel, Ashland, Ky.

Funeral rites were held at Georges Creek Church,
Lowmansville, at 10:00 a.m., Friday, Aug. 4, with the Revs.
Leonard Walters, Charlie Hackney, and Foster Grimm
Officiating.

Burial was made in the Murray Cemetery, Kerz, Ky., under the
direction of the Preston Funeral Home.
