EDITH AUXIER
1883-1972
  
Services were held Monday, March 6, for Edith Webb Auxier, 88, of East
Point, who succumbed Friday, March 3 after an extended illness.
   
Her husband, James S. Auxier, died March 31, 1953.
  
She was the daughter of the late Jake and Adeline Honeycutt Webb, and
was born in Johnson County in September 1883. Mrs. Auxier was a member
of the Third Street Freewill Baptist Church.
  
Survivors include three sons, James T. Auxier of Irvine, John A. Auxier
of Coalwood, WV, and Russell Auxier of El Paso, TX, a daughter Mrs.
Sarah Bullock, lived in Deming, NM, seven grandchildren and ten great
grandchildren. A brother and sister, McKinley Webb and Mrs. Mollie
Music, live at East Point, and another sister, Mrs. Angie Pack, lives at
Van Lear.
  
Rev. C. C. Hall officiated at services in the Jones-Preston Funeral Home
. Burial followed in the family cemetery at East Point.
