A heart attack suffered suddenly at his home at Frank St., at 9:00
p. m., Sunday, January 20, proved fatal to Charles Belhasen, 58,
native of Assyria and resident of this city for more than nineteen
years.

The son of Hassan and Rose Belhasen, he came to this city when a
young man and opened the Busy Bee Restaurant next to the
Paintsville Grocery, which he sold to Robinson and Melvin.He later
returned to Paintsville and became a popular and widely known
salesman of this section. He was a member of the First Christian
Church and was affiliated with the B. P. O. E.

Survivors include his widow, Mrs Josephine Morgan Belhasen; and
nine children, Mrs. Venus Ward, and Fred and Robert Belhasen,
Corpus Christi, Texas, Mrs. Josephine Stacks, Charlotte, N. C.,
Hassan Belhasen, Welch, W. Va., and Ronald, Franklin, Kemal, and
Charles Keith Belhasen all at home.

Funeral services were conducted from the First Christian Church in
this city at 2:30 p. m., Wednesday, January 23, with the pastor,
Rev. Joseph Zavadasky, officiating.

Burial was in the Preston Cemetery under the direction of the
Jones Funeral Home.
