ERNESTINE BLAIR
1914-2002
Ernestine Salyer Blair, 88, of Paintsville, died Thursday,
Nov. 14, at Mt. Manor Nursing Home, Paintsville.
Born Aug. 21, 1914, in Johnson County, she was a daughter
of the late Manford and Mary McFaddin McCloud. She was a
sales clerk and a member of First Freewill Baptist Church
and the Women’s Auxliliary.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Glen
Salyer, and second husband, Chalmer Blair.
Survivors include a son, Wade Carroll Salyer; two
stepdaughters, Evelyn Hensley of Paintsville and Helen
Yontz of Springfield, Ohio; and two stepsons, Benny Blair
of Staffordsville and Robert Blair of Paintsville.
Funeral services were Sunday, Nov. 17, at First Freewill
Baptist Church with Revs. Harold Conley and Larry Blair
officiating.
Burial was in Johnson County Memorial, Staffordsville,
under direction of Paintsville Funeral Home.
