THOMAS BLAIR
Rites Thursday, For Tom Blair C. & O. Employee
Thomas Blair, 63, well-known resident of West Van Lear and veteran C. & O. Railwat employee, died in a local hospital Monday, July 21, after an illness of six months.
The son of the late Sherman and Missouri Jane Webb Blair, he was bron in this county January 16, 1895, and had lived at West Van Lear since 1920. He was employed as an engineer by the C. & O. prior to his illness. He was a member of the Brotherhood Railway Trainmen and B.P.O.E. 1858.
Survivors include three sisters, Mrs. Edna Adams, Collista; Mrs. Elizabeth Hall and Mrs. Mae Blair, both of West Van Lear; two brothers, Gordon Blair, West Van Lear; Francis Blair, U. S. Army, Germany.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m., Thursday from the West Van Lear Church of Christ with Rev. S. C. Honeycutt and Adrian Davis officiating.
Burial will be in the Cumbo Cemetery at West Van Lear. Paintsville Herald Wednesday 7-23-1958
