ALLEN BLEVINS

Allen Blevins, 62, died of a heart attack in a local hospital at 10:25 a.m.
Tuesday, June 19, after an illness of three weeks.
 
The son of the late James and Lucinda Bowens Blevins, he was born at Milo,
March 8, 1900. He had lived in Paintsville, OH for the past seven years
where he was a government employee. He retired about four weeks ago and
returned to Thelma where he was living at the time of his death.
  
Survivors include his wife, Effie Curtis Blevins, whom he married in
Pineville, September 1, 1939; a son, Richard Blevins, Fort Bragg, NC; three
sisters, Mrs. Cora Moore and Mrs. Lillie Daniels both of Thealka; Mrs. Anna
Golden, city, a brother, Ransom Blevins, Perry, OH; a half brother, Levi
Blevins, New London, OH; a half sister, Mrs. Clem Williamson, Glen Allen,
VA.
 
Funeral services were conducted at 10 a.m. Friday at the Thealka Freewill
Baptist Church with James Lyons and Scott Castle as officiating ministers.
 
Burial was in the Thealka cemetery.
