ALBERT BOYD DIES OF HEART ATTACK
SERVICES HELD FRIDAY FOR AGED RESIDENT

Albert Boyd, 83, died of a heart attack at his home at Thelma, at
11:17, Thursday, December 28.

Born in Lawrence County, September 17, 1871, the son of Isom and
Mary Fitchpatrick Boyd, he had resided at Thelma for the past 40
years.

A member of the Primitive Baptist Church, he was formerly engaged
in farming and employed as a foreman for the railroad.

He was married in 1908 to Louise Estep who survives.

Surviving besides his wife, are ten children: seven daughters,
Lydia Sellards and Ethel Ward, both of this city; Thelma Daniel,
Tutor Key; Lee Verda Boyd, Christine Daniel and Eloise Begley, all
of Dayton, Ohio; Zelda Short, Meally; three sons, Jess Boyd,
Flatwoods; Everett Boyd of this city; and Elmer Boyd of Dayton,
Ohio.

Funeral services were held at 10:00 AM Friday, December 31 at the
Bobs Branch Primitive Baptist Church with Rev. Henry Stamper and
Rev. Wheeler officiating.

Burial was in the family cemetery under the direction of the
Preston Funeral Home.
