Services Today For
Sam Castle
Retired Miner
Dies Sunday Afternoon

Funeral services were held this afternoon for Sam B. Castle, 68, a
retired miner of Thealka, who died in a local hospital Sunday
afternoon (Apr.15 1956).

Born June 3 1887, in Johnson County, he was the son of the late
Amos and Elizabeth Castle.

He was a member of the Pentecostal Church.

He is survived by his wife, Minnie Castle, three sons, Everett
Castle, Thealka; Curtis Castle, City; and Sam Castle Jr.,
Springfield, Ohio; three daughters, Della Marie Estep, Thealka,
Norma Jean Haney, Thealka; and Ruth Ailene Campbell, Water Gap,
Ky.; one brother, Willie Castle, Thealka; and one sister, Sarah
Castle, Nippa.

Burial was made in the Thealka Cemetery under the direction of the
Paintsville Funeral Home.
