LONG ILLNESS FATAL
TO RAY COLVIN

Ray Colvin, 49, of Thealka, died in the Paintsville Hospital, April
12, after a long illness. Mr. Colvin was born in Johnson County
February 23, 1898.

He was an employee of the North East Coal Company at Thealka for
the past twenty-nine years.

He was a highly respected member of the Freewill Baptist Church and
lived a devout Christian life.

He was married to Lizzie Mollette of Boones Camp, October 12, 1919.

Surviving besides his widow are five children, Frances Irene,
Eugene Ray, Fred Thomas, Lois Ann, all at home. Roy Mitchell is in
the U. S. Army in Japan: two grandchildren, Roger Thomas and Deanna
Jean.

Funeral services were conducted by the Rev. Don Fraley and the Rev.
Claude Preston April 14 at the Thealka Church.

Burial was in the Thealka Cemetery under the direction of The
Paintsville Funeral Home.
