Delbert Copley, 90, died Sunday, May 23, 1999
at his Van Lear residence.
Mr. Copley was born July 24, 1908, in Boyd County, to the
late Ira and Zella Lambert Copley.
He was retired from C & O Railroad.
Surviving are his wife, Effie Wiley Copley; one daughter,
Nell Ruth Copley Gray of Ruder, Georgia; one brother,
Charles Copley of Ashland; one sister, Mary Vipperman of
Catlettsburg; and five grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren
and two great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, May 25, at Jones-Preston
Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Garfield Potter officiating.
Burial was in Johnson County Memorial Cemetery
at Staffordsville.
