ETHEL CURTIS
Paintsville Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements for Ethel Curtis, 82, of Staffordsville, who died Saturday, February 12, 2000 at Salyersville Health Care Center.
Mrs. Curtis was born July 15, 1917, in Johnson County, to the late Ed and Hattie Howard Blanton.
She was a cook. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Flem Curtis.
Surviving are three daughters, Sue Curtis of Paintsville; Gertrude Fairchild and Joann Estep, both of Staffordsville; one son, Johnny Edward Curtis of Flat Gap; one sister, Della McKenzie of Flat Gap; one half sister, Mary Cochran of Oil Springs; two half brothers, Jack Blanton of Oil Springs and Melvin Blanton of Beattyville; and 7 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, February 15 at Lowgap United Baptist Church with Elders Frankie Williams, Ray McCarty and Sammy Reed officiating.
Burial was in the Johnson County Memorial Cemetery at Staffordsville. Pallbearers were Eddie Curtis, Ricky Curtis, Gary Curtis, William Fairchild, Larry Fairchild and Thomas Robertson.
