BERTHA MAE DANIEL
1916-1998
Bertha Mae 0'Bryan Daniel 82, of Nippa, died Friday,
January 30, 1998, at Mountain Manor Nursing Home.
She was born January 27, 1916, in Johnson County, the daughter
of James V and Sarah Belle Pennington O'Bryan. She was a
member of the Cedar Grove United Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband,
Albert Salyers, who died in 1937; and her second husband,
Walter Daniel, who died in 1968.
She is survived by five sons, James Alonzo "Red" Salyers of
Hager Hill; Charles Raymond Daniel of Valparaiso, Indiana; John
Walter Daniel of Lake Station, Indiana; Kenneth Eugene Daniel
of Sandy Hook and Leonard Ray Daniel of Mishawaka, Indiana;
ten grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; three sisters,
Lora Alice Lemaster and Faye Holbrook, both of Hager Hill; and
Roberta Preston of West Van Lear.
Services were February 1, at the Preston Funeral Home with
Clarence Lemaster officiating.
Burial was in the Johnson County Memorial Cemetery in Staffordsville,
Johnson Co Ky.
