SALLIE DANIEL
1888-1975
At the age of 87, Sallie Daniel passed way in the home of her
daughter, Ena Mae Childers at Thelma Sunday, May 25.
Mrs. Daniel was the daughter of the late Asbury and Laura Bell Price
Ward and was born March 24, 1888.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Troy Daniel, who died
August 28, 1946.
She was a member of the Regular Primitive Baptist Church.
Surviving are 3 sons; J. R. Daniel of Jacksonville, Fl., A. B.
Daniel of Williamsport, and Virgil Daniel of Cincinnati, OH; 2
daughters, Opal Ward of River and Ena Mae Childers of Thelma; 1
sister, Mrs. Ella Johnson of Thelma; 21 grandchildren; 33 great
grandchildren; 7 great-great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 28, at the
Friendship Primitive Baptist Church in Thelma. The officiating
ministers were Avery Lowe, Paul Keaton, and Teddy R. Hall.
Pallbearers were Mike Childers, Frank Daniel, Troy Ward, Carl Ward,
Phillip Ward, Lewis Ward, and Ralph Ward.
Burial was in family cemetery at Thelma under the arrangement and
direction of the Jones-Preston Funeral Home.
