Kathleen Holbrook Daniels, 93, of Williamsport, died Thursday, Oct. 30, at
Mountain Manor Nursing Home.
Born March 9, 1921, at Bob’s Branch, she was the daughter of the late Keenis
and Exer Ward Holbrook. She was a member of Concord United Baptist Church.
She was also preceded in death by five sisters, Dorothy Childers, Pauline
McDowell, Doris Lee, Betty Ward, Juanita Preston and Gwen Williamson; and a
grandchild.
Survivors include her husband, Hobert Peery Daniels; three sons, Doug Daniels
of Catlettsburg, Dan Daniels of Walton and Brad Daniels of Tutor Key; two
daughters, Rose Rice of Oil Springs, and Sharon Cassity of St. Augustine,
Fla.; a brother, Keenis Holbrook, Jr. of Cincinnati, Ohio; seven
grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; three
step-grandchildren; and nine step-great- grandchildren.
Funeral services were Sunday, Nov. 2, at Concord United Baptist Church,
Thelma, with Freddie Salyers, Dewey Mac Mullins, J.D. Rice and Marcus Caudill
officiating. Burial was in the family cemetery, Thelma, under direction of
Phelps and Son Funeral Home, Paintsville.
